Happy Kitchen
A tribute to Happy Kitchen Chinese Takeaway on Ducat St, Tweed Heads — one of those quietly iconic spots that holds a suburb together. Three-colour hand screen print on 300GSM watercolour paper, hand-drawn and hand-printed by Richard Scott at Mint Arthouse, Burleigh.
Part of the Borderline series — a collection celebrating the businesses and streetscapes that define the Tweed–Coolangatta border region. Happy Kitchen was the first print from the series, exhibited at Nice Nice Neighbourhood in March 2026.
Hand-drawn and hand-printed by Richard Scott at Mint Arthouse, Burleigh Heads. Printed on 300GSM watercolour paper — meaning no two are identical. A small piece of local history you can hang on your wall.
Exhibition prints are numbered from the original run of 12 printed for the show. Studio prints are from a subsequent limited run, each individually hand-numbered.
